Privacy policy

The short version: there are no accounts. Your time cards stay on your device. We count visits with our own analytics, which doesn't use cookies or store IP addresses. There are no ads on the site today.

What stays on your device

The calculators save your inputs in your browser's local storage so they're there next time: time cards, names you type on them, tool inputs, the sound setting and your Work Passport stamps. Your browser also keeps a small note of the day you first visited and how you found the site, so we can tell new visits from returning ones. None of the time card data is sent to us. Clear it any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Shared links: Copy link puts a time card inside the link itself, after the # sign. That part of a link is never sent to our server; whoever you send it to can see the card.

What we collect

We run our own analytics on Cloudflare to learn which tools people use. For each page view it records the page, the site that sent you there (if any), campaign tags in the link, an approximate location (country, region, city and postal code, as estimated by Cloudflare from your network), the network provider, device type, browser, operating system, screen size, language, time on the page, how far you scrolled, and which of our buttons you clicked (for example "Payday" or "Print").

It doesn't use cookies and doesn't store your IP address. To count visitors, it makes a daily ID from a random value that changes every day plus your IP address and browser. The random values are deleted after two days, so a visit can't be linked to you or to your visits on other days. We don't sell this data or share it with anyone.

Contact form

If you send a message from the About page, we store what you write, plus a name and email if you add them, so we can read it and reply. Ask us through the same form to delete it.

Advertising

There are no ads on the site right now. We plan to show ads (for example from Google AdSense) to keep the calculators free, and this page will be updated before they go live. When ads run, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings, and opt out of some other vendors' cookies at aboutads.info.

Children

The site is meant for working adults and isn't directed at children under 13.
